Walk Around Wine Tastings
These semi-formal tastings are especially suitable for medium-sized to large groups of participants. The beauty of the walk around tasting is that it enables tasters to take a "tour" of wines made in different parts of the world and enjoy wines made from one grape but grown in many different viticultural regions. A wine consultant is stationed at each table to pour and discuss the wines being presented at that location. The total experience is comfortable and educational for the tasters. Informative tasting note sheets are given to all participants and catered food, complementary to the wines, can be arranged.
Formal Sit-Down Theme Tastings
Sit-down tastings are ideal for groups as small as 15 and as large as 50. This is a more formal, focused, and educational approach to wine events - that still includes plenty of opportunity for discussion, questions and interaction among participants. Everyone sits at rectangular or circular tables, which minimizes classroom formality.
Wines are tasted in flights (groupings) of 2-4 wines, depending on the nature of the tasting. Wine consultants introduce each flight and then lead a discussion of the wines after each flight is tasted. Appropriate background information, the best methods of tasting and evaluating wines, and food pairing recommendations for the wines tasted are provided along with tasting note sheets.
